The Romance of an Elopement
Barbara Turner and Thomas Evans wanted to get married in paradise, but didn't want all the stress and hassle of planning a destination wedding. They reached out to Misty Maxwell, with Pura Vida Weddings, who planned the perfect day for Barbara and Tommy.
To start their day, Barbara and Tommy arrived at Revive Wellness Center at Langosta Beach Club and were treated to two hours of custom massage and facial in our spacious, floor to ceiling windowed spa with crisp, white curtains for full privacy. When they completed their treatments they had a glow of pure relaxation and contentment as they were led down to their ocean front table at Langosta Beach Club to enjoy a glass of wine and a light lunch. This morning was designed to keep them relaxed as possible before the frenzy of hair and make up, leading up to the private nuptials on the beach. When we met Barb and Tommy, they seemed like a happy, easy going couple. They were so pleased with how their day was turning out and their happiness was infectious. When I discovered they had no other family or friends with them to share the event, I asked if Mike and I could come witness the exchanging of vows. Such warm and loving people, they immediately said yes....they even invited us to join them for lunch (which we declined to let the love birds bask in their special day.)
At 4:00pm. MIke and I made our way down to the wedding site. It was a simple, beautiful, touching ceremony, full of love and even some tears. (I'll admit, I had to wipe a tear or two away myself, and I noticed Mike left his sunglasses on to hide the moisture!!) Jesse Bishop serendaded them with lovely tunes and even let me sing a song or two with him for the beautiful Mr. and Mrs. Evans.
